The Research Assistant will be performing research primarily on projects aimed at reducing health disparities among ethnically diverse populations. Under the direction of the PI and the project coordinator, the Research Assistant will provide support for onsite and offsite/field research activities and be involved in various stages of the implementation of an intervention. The Research Assistant will work closely with the research team and participants to ensure the project is completed successfully. These responsibilities include, but not are limited to, assisting in participant screening and recruitment (including direct outreach and field-based recruitment), study visit preparation, data collection through surveys and interviews, data quality assurance and analysis, keeping tracking logs, and creating materials for participants. The position also performs additional related tasks as necessary. The current study is centered on a home-based parental intervention, on improving the diet quality of preschool-aged children among low-income, Latinx/Hispanic families. It will engage families in their home setting and use community health workers to connect families to food safety net resources.
