Job Description
This project involves checking and maintaining a list of long-term care facilities i.e.; assisted living facilities, adult day health facilities, as part of a larger contribution to a yearly data repository of publicly-available market measures for long-term care. Students will lead the work effort of creating a 2023 directory of these
facilities in the US using defined data collection research methods. Tasks include web searches, outreach to state agencies, data transcription, maintaining and organizing excel sheets, and using web scraping tools. Students with an interest in gerontology, health services research, or health policy will find the exposure to
this work beneficial for building a policy knowledge base while also sharpening data collection and reporting skill sets! Opportunities for scientific manuscript authorship and job extension outside of the Spring semester are possible.
Skills of: web searching, familiarity with Google suite or Microsoft Office, ability to present and summarize results and ability to prioritize multiple research tasks.
