The project is a large-scale meta-analysis of cognitive-behavioral therapy for substance use disorders.  Therefore, the project is focused on collecting and analyzing secondary data from published clinical trials.  The Research Assistant will be responsible for collection of project data, management of study-related data, and preparation of materials for scientific meetings, manuscripts, and funding reports.  Data collection includes extraction of descriptive data from published reports (i.e., effect size data), extraction of study level characteristics via an established coding form (i.e., study-level moderators), and double extraction for reliability assessment. Data management includes data entry, checking, and conduct of work consistent with all project guidelines.  Additional duties include those associated with scientific dissemination with plenty of opportunity for publishing or conference presentation.
