Student Research Assistant for CHeSS

Job Description:

  • Conduct data collection through various methods, such as surveys or database searches.
  • Perform simple data analysis using statistical software or other tools under the guidance of senior researchers.
  • Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant studies, articles, and other sources of information.
  • Assist with the development of research proposals, including literature review, background research, and formatting.
  • Draft reports, summaries, or presentations based on research findings and analysis.
  • This is largely a sedentary role that involves sitting most of the time. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures.


  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a relevant academic program.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of research methodologies and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience with research or academic writing is preferred but not required
