Do you have strong analytical skills and want to improve the health care system in Rhode Island? Faulkner Consulting Group (FCG) is searching for an engaged and energetic Summer Intern to support our health policy consulting projects. The Summer Intern will support our strategy consulting team by conducting research and analyses that answer complex business and healthcare questions. The Summer Intern should be able to gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, which could include publicly available healthcare cost and trend data, proprietary financial and utilization client data, and stakeholder interviews. The Summer Intern will also assist with key policy research, identifying best practices, client benchmarks and program opportunities. Finally, the Summer Intern will prepare and present deliverables, including written summaries, reports, PowerPoint decks and dashboards.

The ideal candidate has a keen interest in health care reform, improving health care delivery, and tracking local and national advances in the health care space.

Candidates should possess strong research, quantitative and qualitative analytic skills. Relevant experience in data analytics, research, health policy, business/health administration, and/or public health is preferred. An understanding of health reform would be helpful, and a passion to learn more about the field is highly desirable. The candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented, understand professional communication etiquette and be able to work with minimal supervision.
