Health Equity Trainer and Technical Assistance Coordinator

IPHI is currently recruiting to fill a Health Equity Trainer and Technical Assistance (TA) Coordinator for IPHI’s growing national health equity training and technical assistance portfolio. The Health Equity Trainer and TA Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering training covering health equity and anti-racism concepts in person and virtually, responding to health equity related technical assistance requests with external partners, and providing coordination and logistical support across trainings. The Health Equity Training Coordinator will work independently with support and collaboratively with other IPHI training staff, subject matter experts, project partners, and contractor teams in the following areas, among others: development and adaptation of training curricula and programmatic tools, delivering training, leading communications activities, scheduling and logistics, managing consultants, coordinating meetings and training activities, conducting data entry and analysis, record keeping and reporting, and improving training based on feedback.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate health equity trainings and continuing education, both in person and virtually.
  • Serve as the lead technical assistance provider for health equity to external partners and manage TA request, meeting with partners to identify needs.
  • Conduct research and consult with subject matter experts to develop and revise health equity training materials for in person, live virtual, and asynchronous training environments.
  • Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids) and create required job aids, templates, and reference materials supporting different training platforms and formats.
  • Develop learner materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms).
  • Assist with planning, logistics, scheduling, documentation and follow up to ensure effective implementation of meetings and trainings.
  • Create and maintain workshop course in Absorb, IPHI’s learning management system.
  • Maintain database of health equity training materials.
  • Support data collection and quality monitoring to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Actively contribute to the advancement of the organization and its mission, including strategic planning and the development of new business opportunities.
  • Adhere to all requirements regarding protection of confidential information and other policies and procedures internal to IPHI and partners.
