The Accountable Health Communities (AHC) Model Evaluation team is in the middle of conducting a multi-year evaluation of the AHC Model. Previous evaluation reports have estimated intermediate impacts of the AHC Model on a variety of health care expenditure and utilization outcomes, using medical claims data for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. This role will involve working with the claims data analysis team to extend these analyses with a new year of medical claims data.

Learning Objectives:

  • How to effectively use medical claims data in quantitative, health services research.
  • Best practices for team-based quantitative research.
  • Extend or create new skills related to the use of Stata, a statistical analysis software.

  • Assisting with quantitative data analyses, including developing data visualizations.
  • Contributing to group discussions about the quantitative data analysis findings to help with interpretation of findings.
  • Providing support for the quality control and quality assurance processes that were established to ensure the accuracy and validity of the data analyses.
