The Office of Community Engagement invites students to apply for funding designed to support applied public health experiences in Providence and Rhode Island. We seek to support local public health efforts that serve historically underserved populations in the state, and to connect student skill, knowledge, and interest to community-driven projects informed by organization, practitioner, and community member expertise.
Funding is available for full 145 hour APEs, ranging up to $3,500 for the summer based on the priority criteria and availability of funding. International students are encouraged to check with OISSS about your eligibility to receive funding and work on projects off campus.
Note: Our priority deadline is May 24, 2023 at 5pm. Following that deadline, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
