Programmer Analyst I

Position Summary
Under direction, this role provides dedicated data management support to query health care claims databases and prepare datasets for analysis to answer policy-relevant questions related to hepatitis C treatment, opioid prescribing, and substance use disorder treatment. The ideal candidate can demonstrate proficiency in SAS programming. Experience with claims data and/or SQL programming are a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages and constructs large and/or complex datasets using multiple data sources. Engages in data cleaning and data validation.
• Regularly meets with internal and external collaborators to discuss data requests and progress updates.
• For collaborations with Research Biostatisticians, performs data cleaning in R or SAS to prepare datasets for statistical analysis.
• Independently summarizes and delivers results of data management and analysis work to research team(s) in readable, presentation-ready reports.
