Job Summary:

The Division of Urogynecology at Women and Infants Hospital has an exciting new opportunity to grow and expand our community engagement efforts through an award funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). This is a 5-year award comparing treatments for overactive bladder in women, with an innovative component dedicated to strengthening community outreach, engagement, and improving access for under-represented populations in Rhode Island. The Community Liaison will be an important part of our experienced research team, with opportunities for leadership development if desired.

Specifications:

Bi-lingual, Spanish. Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years of experience in diverse community outreach and academic research required. Community facilitation skills are required as well as ability to demonstrate an understanding of social context of underrepresented and marginalized groups in Rhode Island. Experience working in diverse communities and familiarity with academic research.

Please note, this is a grant funded position. This project is expected to run for 5 – 6 years.  This is a part time (20 hours per week, with opportunity to increase to up to 30 hours after first year of award.
